Client Testimonials

My Streeterville interior build-out was made complete by work in nearly every room by abai. I now have an absolutely stunning kitchen unlike anything I've ever seen, a beautiful stainless and granite buffet, a very dressy wet bar in black gloss lacquer and granite, vanities in white gloss lacquer and honed limestone with custom mirrors, stone shelving and glass shower enclosure in all three bathrooms. They also did a media cabinet with chicken wire doors, even a hidden cable valance on two walls of my home office. abai was great to work with in my demanding schedule. Steven is a perfectionist and saw to it that all details were expedited. I have no need to ever search around for a custom builder again as their work is tops, pricing very reasonable and dealings honorable.

ABAI was terrific to work with from start to finish. Steven, the president, worked with us for several weeks to achieve a design that is beautiful, functional and perfetly fits (and helps camoflauge) a somewhat awkward space: a basement with irregular ceiling soffits. The workmanship of the cabinets is top notch, beautifully fitted and finished. Steven is a perfectionist with a sharp eye for detail. He and his team made several on-site adjustments to perfect the designand its realization. Steven was also extremely responsive to our comments and punch list items, and went out of his way to complete certain items on a rush basis, at our last-minute request. All in all, we found working with ABAI to be a very positive experience, resulting in a gorgeous, comfortable media room that we love. We should also mention that ABAI's bid was very competitive. We received tremendous value for what we paid.

Steven and I met three years ago and our first project was my unbelievable figured Anegrie kitchen (in a golden finish). Since then they have come back-designed and built a Macasser Ebony fireplace in gloss finish, an aromatic cedar closet with hand carved Japanese style doors with 3 inch square 'lights' framing Japanese rice paper. We also did some quarter sawn oak running base and trim to match existing 70 year old moulding profiles, and some custom made heat registers to match the beautiful old oak. These guys are problem solvers. Next fall I'll start the second floor with abai and that's for sure as they deal with my schedule, my needs, even my ideas without issue. Over the three years I've know Steven, his crew we has gotten a lot of stuff done here, and there's always more.
